KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - More than 150 people laced up their shoes and rolled out their yoga mats for the first annual “Workout for Cancer Care” at CPKC Stadium on Saturday morning.
Participants chose between a total body workout on the concourse or a Pilates workout on the sideline while the Kansas City Current was on the road.
The event was organized by Bra Couture KC, which has raised more than $5 million for uninsured and underinsured cancer patients over 15 years through their signature runway show.
“Every dollar raised here stays right here. You don’t have to question where your money is going. And that can go to cancer patients,” said Jenn Bishop of Bra Couture KC.
The organization focuses on supporting men and women cancer fighters in the Kansas City area who lack adequate insurance coverage.
