Kim has been a licensed nail technician for over 22 years in the Kansas City Metropolitan area where she has been the owner/operator of Wetpaint & Hairspray: “The Salon.” Respected by her peers in the nail industry and consumers alike, she started as an apprentice and moved up from there, constantly striving for only the best.
Kim constantly reaches back into the community to help others reach their goals by seeking out other gifted and talented individuals entering the nail industry. While this is one of her many passions, she does not limit herself.
Kim has fought many battles over the last 10 years, one being breast cancer. She is highly noted among her family, friends, customers and constituents as not only a fighter, but a “Survivor.”
She is a leader and innovator in an industry that continues to change and feels that nothing can stop her now. In 2014, Kim established Sisters Network Midwest, an African American breast cancer survivorship organization.
In late 2016 she joined with The University of Kansas Medical Center PIVOT research team in reference to studies in cancer and patient advocacy. Kim looks forward to joining successful teams with a futuristic vision in mind. Her motto: “The sky is limitless with God!”
